Quantexa, a global decision intelligence firm, has won the Best Use of AI for Financial Crime Investigations award at the 8th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2025, celebrated at a ceremony held in person on 10 November 2025.
This award recognises the innovative use of AI to uncover criminal patterns, automate evidence collection, and prioritise high-risk cases. It values measurable improvements in detection, investigation speed, and efficiency, showcasing AI’s transformative potential in financial crime investigations.
Quantexa secured the win for its Decision Intelligence Platform (DIP), a comprehensive, AI-powered solution that helps organisations make trusted decisions by unifying siloed data and enriching it with context. The platform’s core strength lies in its patented Knowledge Graph technology, which provides best-in-class entity resolution and network analytics to uncover hidden risks and complex criminal networks.
“Quantexa’s Knowledge Graph technology is a key differentiator, enabling deep entity resolution and network analysis that delivers real-world results,” said a judge on the Regulation Asia Awards panel. “We were impressed by the evidence of a 60% reduction in case volumes at HSBC, which, combined with wide adoption by other tier-1 global banks, demonstrates the platform's strong credibility and effectiveness in financial crime investigations.”
The platform’s impact is demonstrated through its successful deployments at leading global financial institutions, including HSBC, Standard Chartered, and Danske Bank, where it has driven significant efficiency gains and improved detection accuracy. The recent introduction of Q Assist, a generative AI suite, further enhances the platform's ability to augment investigator decision-making.
“We’re honoured to be recognised for our AI-driven approach to financial crime investigations,” said Shaun Mathieson, Regional Vice President, APAC for Quantexa. “This award highlights how our Decision Intelligence Platform helps leading banks uncover hidden risks and accelerate investigations, making the financial system safer for everyone.”
