HONG KONG, 5 November 2026 – S&P Global has won three awards at the ninth annual Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence, presented at The St. Regis Hong Kong: two for S&P Global Market Intelligence and one for S&P Global Tax Solutions.
S&P Global Market Intelligence was named Best Client Lifecycle Management Solution, Technology Provider. While due diligence at most institutions is still front-loaded - i.e. thorough at onboarding, then largely static until the next periodic review - S&P Global Market Intelligence CLM Pro keeps it current for the life of the relationship, combining perpetual KYC and event-driven review with a golden record drawn from more than 150 primary sources. At one Asia-Pacific bank, client response rates rose from 25% by email to 85% once outreach moved onto the platform.
“Its strongest feature is that this is genuinely a client-lifecycle platform rather than predominantly an onboarding or screening product,” said a member of Regulation Asia's independent judging panel.
The same business won Best Reference Data Provider, an award it also won in 2024, for a narrower problem but one specific to the region. Chinese listed bonds often reach institutions with little more than a ticker. S&P Global Market Intelligence created identifiers for them, backed by documented listing evidence, across the mainland's exchanges and the China Interbank Bond Market, and made the process repeatable. Its Collateral Manager was also Highly Commended for Collateral Management Provider of the Year.
S&P Global Tax Solutions won Best Digital Asset Risk, Tax & Reporting Solution. Its platform already handles FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) filings, and now supports the OECD's Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) and the amended CRS. More than 30 of the 70 institutions using it are in Asia-Pacific.
“What stood out was that S&P Global Tax Solutions is helping shape digital asset tax reporting rules rather than just reacting to them – evidenced by its role on the OECD Business Advisory Group and the consultation submission it coordinated on Singapore's CARF guidance,” said the Regulation Asia Awards Committee.
The client lifecycle award was decided by the independent judging panel. The reference data and digital asset tax awards were assessed by the Awards Committee, and each entry was judged on its own merits rather than on past results.
“S&P Global was recognised in three very different areas this year. Each award rested on evidence from the region, not on the strength of the brand,” said Bradley Maclean, Chair of the Awards Committee, Regulation Asia.
About the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence
Now in their ninth year, the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence recognise achievements advancing regulatory practice across Asia-Pacific.
The judging process involves an independent panel of senior industry practitioners and the Awards Committee. Entries are assessed against published, award-specific criteria covering Asia-Pacific relevance and material developments in the twelve months to 30 June 2026. Awards are granted against a defined standard rather than relative to other entries.
Judging decisions are independent of editorial and commercial operations. There is no entry, shortlisting or winner fee, and commercial relationships do not influence results.
